Transforming our bedroom with new floating floors
We installed Lifeproof engineered hardwood over floor heating, cutting each row with a circular saw and jigsaw.
We needed flooring that could handle daily wear, look like real wood, and work with floor heating. Lifeproof engineered hardwood met all three requirements.
We started off with one corner of the room near the door and slowly built it up.

Installation was straightforward. We cleaned the subfloor, made sure it was dry and level, then laid the planks.

We used a circular saw and a jigsaw for cuts. Both threw up a lot of sawdust, so we kept the Ridgid vacuum running to clean as we went. Picked up the vacuum at Home Depot.

Here’s the nearly completed state.

The new floor looks good. Big improvement over what we had before.
