San Francisco's Fleet Week 2023
Fleet Week 2023 in San Francisco. Blue Angels, Parade of Ships, air shows over the Bay. Government shutdown avoided.
Government shutdown avoided, so Fleet Week happened and the show went on.
The Parade of Ships is the big draw—largest on the West Coast. Navy ships sail through the Bay, escorted by SF Fire Department fireboats shooting water jets. Impressive against the skyline.
The city gets packed. Hotels full, restaurants crowded, people everywhere for the air shows. Good for local businesses.
2023 Lineup:
- Blue Angels - Navy’s flight demonstration squadron
- Blue Angels Fat Albert - Support aircraft doing its own show
- Navy Leap Frogs - Parachute team
- United 777 - Commercial plane flyby
- Marine F-35B - Vertical takeoff fighter demo
- Ace Maker T-33 - Vintage jet aerobatics
- Patriots Jet Team - Civilian aerobatic team
- Coast Guard - Helicopters and C-27 aircraft
[!TIP] Best viewing from Marina Green, Crissy Field, or anywhere along the Bay. Bring ear protection.
The Blue Angels fly low over the water, tight formations, loud. You can watch from Marina Green, Crissy Field, or anywhere along the Bay with a view. The 2021 show was the first one back after COVID.
