Presidio Tunnel Tops opened in July 2022. The park sits literally on top of a highway tunnel—you’re standing on the roof of the Presidio Parkway. 14 acres of grass and paths where cars are screaming underneath you.

The playground is massive. The Outpost is what they call it. Kids can climb all over the thing. It has slides, rope structures, and climbing walls. Parents sit on the grass while their kids burn energy for an hour.

You can walk straight from the Presidio to Crissy Field now. Before, the highway cut through and you had to detour around. This park stitched it back together.

Presidio Pop-Up handles food—burgers, fries, drinks. The views toward the Golden Gate are solid from here. Not dead-on, but you see it through the trees.
The whole thing is free. Parking at the Presidio lots nearby. Weekends get packed, but weekday mornings are quieter.
The Letterman Digital Arts Center lawn and Palace of Fine Arts are both a short walk east through the Presidio.
