Got the Pfizer Shot at SF General

First COVID vaccine at Zuckerberg SF General. Queue number 242, two hours outside, Pfizer-BioNTech. April 2021.

Got my first COVID vaccine at Zuckerberg SF General. April 12, 2021. Queue number 242.

Holding COVID vaccine queue card number 242 for Building 30, with Pfizer-BioNTech screening questions and a steel coffee tumbler, outside ZSFG

Showed up at 8:49 AM. The line was already on the street. SFHN — San Francisco Health Network — running the operation, with staff in face shields checking people in on the sidewalk outside.

People waiting in line on Potrero Avenue outside ZSFG for COVID vaccines, vaccine screener with face shield checking people in

Got inside around 10:45 AM. Two hours in the sun on Potrero and 23rd. Not bad. The process was organized. Paperwork, screening questions, the shot, 15 minutes of observation in Building 30 before they let you leave.

Pfizer-BioNTech. Right deltoid.

The building itself is worth a look if you haven’t been to this part of the Mission/Potrero border before.
