McKinley Square near the highway

Vermont Street bends beside McKinley Square on Potrero Hill, with tighter turns, fewer visitors, and less polish than Lombard Street.

Lombard gets all the attention, but Vermont Street on Potrero Hill has its own short run of tight switchbacks. It runs beside McKinley Square Park, which has a playground, picnic areas, and far fewer visitors.

Lombard has tourists and nice houses. Vermont Street is in a residential area, not as well-maintained. Fewer people know about it. If you’re in the neighborhood, check it out.
