Our poppies popped!
California poppies bloomed in our San Francisco garden. Bright orange flowers popped up in late April.
The California poppies finally bloomed. We planted them a few weeks back and they popped up overnight. Bright orange, the state flower.
They like the sun we get in the backyard. That spring gave them mild weather and enough rain. These were easy to grow: scatter seeds and wait.
Worth having a few in the garden. Color when everything else is still green.
